An idea

Thanks for letting me post on your site.  I hope that was intentional.
It would be really cool if there was some javascript or something I could execute in my blog’s code for submitting a new entry, that would automatically track comments made on the entry. I would know the URL for the comments page at that time.

You found a backdoor in the system!!!

Just kidding. I want to use this blog so people can have conversations. It’s a blog, but it’s easy to post and easy to track, so why not?

And I just added a feature request page to the Wiki: http://wiki.co.mments.com/FeatureRequests

The wiki is a good place to list features, but I think the blog is a better place to talk about them.

I setup my blog to notify me whenever a new comment is submitted by e-mail. For three main reasons:
    a) It works.
    b) All comments are important, including spam. Which I then rush to delete.
    c) All comments are held for moderation (blame spam), so I want to be notified and quickly accept them.

I never thought about tracking my own blog using co.mments.

On the other hand, e-mail notification with other people’s blogs:
    a) Maybe sometimes work.
    b) I prefer the digested feed of co.mments.
    c) Easier to opt-out of.

Yeah. I guess I should just change my blog to e-mail me. But it would be nice to aggregate all these discussions.

Where's my comment? I get too much comment spam, so I have to moderate comments. If you don't see your comment immediately, be patient. I'll approve it the minute I see it. Want to know when your comment shows up, or check if anyone responded? Track it.
