Automatic following

For those of us who run a blog or similar service ourselves, it would be nice to add such URIs to our Co.mments account, and automatically have all comment threads on all posts added, and automatically have new posts’ comment threads added, to our Co.mments account. It would be annoying to Co.mment each post right after you write it. ^^/

Can Cocomment deal with Chinese rightly? I try some
Chinese post, but all I got is mis-encoded character.

I have the same question as femto but for arabic. Does it have problems where it can parse non UTF8 characters?

There are some sites it works for and others it won’t, UTF-8 will work, but some ISO encodings are not supported.

Actually, could be this done: I guess those site I met are using GB2312(or maybe GBK?), but they don’t specify encoding in the html or http header ( because we are using chinese operating system, so the default display normal in our system),
so the solution could be done as follows: give user an option,
maybe the page is encoded in some other encoding, user can specify it. So I think that would solve the problem. By the way, it seems I can’t access co.mments.com these days.

Sorry about that, I’m sure I broke something with the site, not yet sure what, but it’s back and accessible now.

As for encoding, the library I’m using should support BIG5, but has poor or non-existent support for GB2312, and I’m not sure when this will be fixed.

I, too, would be quite happy to see such a feature. I wish I had more ideas on how to implement it, though.
